The River Phase II will be home to one 93-unit, four-story apartment building.

Apartment floorplans will range from studio up to two-bedroom units. Each unit will have a modern feel and upgraded finishes throughout. Apartment amenities will include in-unit laundry, stainless steel appliances, a community room, a parcel room, and a fitness center.

In cooperation with the North Iowa Corridor Economic Development Corporation, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 27th at 10 am at the site located at 215 2nd Street SW in Mason City.

Talon Development is based out of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and has grown since its inception in 2018 with projects spanning over 19 different cities and towns throughout South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. The River Phase II will be the second multifamily project in Mason City, for Talon Development. President, Josh Kruger said, “We’re excited to begin work on The River Phase II. The success of our current location is attributed to the support from this great community. We’re so happy to be able to provide more quality housing in Mason City.”

Talon has spent the last several years developing workforce housing throughout the Midwest. The priority of Talon is to boost growing rural economies by providing non-subsidized workforce housing to the area. Collaborative efforts between Talon Development and Eagle Construction with key stakeholders of the city and the residents of Mason City helped bring this project to fruition.

The building is set to open in Fall 2023.
